Jeonbuk Smoking Cessation Support Center
The center was selected as Jeonbuk Smoking Cessation Support Center (with the total of 2,700,000,000 won support from the government over the 3-year period) in the competition of ‘2015 National selection of 17 local smoking cessation programs with private sector support campaign’ supervised by the Ministry of Health and Welfare and is promoting various smoking cessation campaigns around the local community.
Visiting Smoking Cessation Service
Targeting adolescents out of school, women, and college smokers who cannot easily utilize smoking cessation clinics at health clinics due to their limited time and/or social stigma, we use a ‘Visiting Smoking Cessation Vehicle’ to visit places, such as adolescent counseling and welfare centers, local colleges and universities, business sites with female workers, and public offices, and provide systemic smoking cessation support services, such as smoking cessation counseling and supplements. Starting in 2016, we plan to build a ‘Big-size Smoking Cessation Bus’ so that we can tour around the local community and perform smoking cessation counseling.
Training-type Smoking Cessation Camp
Targeting serious chain smokers who cannot quit smoking with their own will alone, we provide a systematic smoking cessation service consisting of specialized smoking cessation counseling and medical treatment, health check-ups, and nutrient and health counseling for a short period of time when withdrawals are most prominent. The camp is operated with group-level entry from a company or school or individual-level entry and provides adult and adolescent smokers with smoking cessation lecture that strengthens the motivation for smoking cessation and encourages to plan on smoking cessation, health check-ups (approximately 200,000 won),smoking cessation supplement method, psychological counseling, and stress management program. The camp is available in two types, specialized treatment type (4 nights and 5 days-long stay at a hospital) and regular entry type (1 night and 2 days-long stay in a group camp).
