Robotic Rehabilitation Center
Upper Body Robotic Rehabilitation Therapy, Lower Body Robotic Rehabilitation Therapy
As the first in the nation, the center introduced robotic rehabilitation equipment, the upper body robot (Armeo) and the lower body robot (Lokomat), simultaneously. Lokomot is used for Robot-assisted walking therapy, and provides substantial help in recovering from gait disturbance through the feedback program that encourages patients to engage in gait training in a 3D virtual reality. Furthermore, the upper body robot (Armeo) recognizes movements with its sensors on the robot arm, encourages movements with the increased feedback obtained from checking the movements of patient’s hand and arm on the online video, and allows for the enhancement of daily activities. Robotic rehabilitation equipment provide the optimal rehabilitation therapy environment with individualized task-oriented therapy appropriated for the functional status of each patient.
