Transplantation and Vascular Surgery
Introduction of the Department
The Department of Transplantation and Vascular Surgery deals with vascular diseases and transplantation. It provides medical treatments against vein diseases, lymphatic diseases, peripheral arterial occlusion due to aortic aneurysm and arteriosclerosis as well as embolism and lymphatic edema. In the case of varicose vein, we offer the latest laser treatment and the hardening treatment. In addition, abdominal aneurysms is treated with a procedure in which aortic aneurysm is resected and artificial blood vessels are inserted. In recent years, a metal mesh embedded in a synthetic graft, called a stent graft, is inserted into the aorta to prevent an aneurysm, and this procedure can be done safely since it requires no general anesthesia.
